Our TY Internet Safety Ambassadors and their helpers want to give everyone advice while we are on lockdown & learning from home.
Loreto is once again a hive of activity as we welcome eight schools for our annual Model UN conference. We thank our guest speaker Rachel Maguire to talked to our delegates on Wednesday morning about "Sustainable Fashion" and how we can do more more to protect our planet.
To help them plan and prepare for their Transition Year later this year, 52 3rd years attended Thomond Park in Limerick on Tuesday the 28th of January. Here 51 exhibitors and 12 speakers told them of their offerings for TY, these included colleges, the Gardai, the Army, the Road Safety Authority - with the Road Safety bus and the roll over simulator, and many, many more.

27/11/19 – Enterprise Week – Question of the day
27th of November marks the start of Enterprise week in Loreto - leading up to our Market Day on Tuesday 3rd of December.
Congratulations to all the students who travelled to this year’s Cross-Country Championships held on Tuesday at Thurles Crokes Complex. Loreto Clonmel placed in the scoring team events collecting bronze medals in the Intermediate and Senior category Also, two members of the group brought home individual bronze medals in Junior and Intermediate category!
Very best of luck to Meave as she represents Loreto Clonmel on the Munster U15 squad this weekend for the Schools Interprovincial tournament. This is a huge achievement and we wish Meave and the Munster squad the best.

Classroom Based Assessments (CBAs) provide students with opportunities to demonstrate their learning and skills in ways not possible in a pen and paper examination, for example, verbal communication and investigative skills. CBAs will be facilitated by the classroom teacher. Most subjects have a 3-week window within which the CBA is completed.

Attention 6th Years and 3rd Years:
Loreto students enjoyed great success at the East Munster Schools Track & Field event held in Templemore on Wednesday the 1st of May. With two gold medals in the Minor 1500m and Intermediate 800m, a silver medal in the Intermediate Shot Put event and two further bronze medals for the Junior 800m and 1500m. A huge congratulations to all students who took part, a huge achievement and the very best of luck in the next round of events.
The 5th year curatorial project is apporaching the opening of its exhibition this Thursday at 6pm. Today, the 5th year Art class visited the South Tipperary Arts centre to view the set up of their chosen pieces. The exhibition will include renowned artists such as Amanda Coogan and Dorothy Cross.
